Billowy Socks
I felt the name of this pattern had to reflect the amazing texture that appears as you start knitting the socks so I chose the word “billowy” which means appearing large and soft or filled with air.
This word came to mind because as I was knitting the socks I kept picturing smoke coming up from a candle undulating from side to side.
Sock knitting has always been such a comfort for me, I love loosing myself to the stitches and I immediately put on my socks after I’m finished; each pair tells a story - where I got the yarn from, what pattern I used, what was happening in my life when I knit them… - I just love knitting socks!
