Escalera Wrap

CA$8.00

This pattern is so much fun, it is very relaxing and easy to remember and it has an amazing texture. It was designed in collaboration with @nicole_hueloco using her Woolen Sport base in the colors Marigold, Oatmeal and Foxglove.
My inspiration behind the pattern was the game Serpientes y Escaleras (snakes and ladders) and my childhood memories, specially when we visited my grandparents in Mexico City.
I remember my grandpa used to take us out for dinner, just the grandkids and him and I remember my grandma sitting down in her chair in the family room... but what I remember the most is the huge circular staircase that had wooden steps. We spent so much time there, climbing, jumping, hanging out.

Measured over pattern stitch flat (after blocking) – 22 sts and 30 rows in 4”/10 cm
Final wrap measurements: approximately 70 ½ “ (179cm) long and 15 ½” (39.5cm) wide.

** Gauge is not essential for this design, although keep in mind that your gauge will determine the amount of yarn you require for the shawl and it will affect the final measurements. For this wrap, I used 90g of each color.
